Our programs serve students from kindergarten through high school. Enrollment and all account creation is completed by a parent or legal guardian, who provides consent for us to collect and use their child’s information for instruction, scheduling, progress reporting, and communication with the family.
We do not use student information for advertising, we do not allow advertising or tracking technologies in the student portal, and we do not sell or rent student information to anyone.
Children under 13 (COPPA)
For children under 13 we comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Specifically:
- We collect only the information needed to deliver instruction to the child.
- We obtain verifiable parental consent before creating a student account or session record.
- We obtain separate parental consent before disclosing a child’s information to any third party.
- We do not use behavioral advertising toward under-13 users.
- We delete a child’s information when it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected.
Parent and guardian rights
A parent or guardian may at any time:
- Review the information we hold about their child.
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete their child’s information.
- Withdraw consent for further collection or use.

FERPA-aligned practices
PALS Learning Center South Plainfield is not a school and is not subject to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). We nevertheless handle student academic information according to FERPA’s principles of confidentiality and limited disclosure: records are accessible only to authorized staff and to the assigned instructor, and disclosure to any other party requires explicit parental permission.
The student portal
The student portal operated by EdQuill CRM does not run advertising cookies, third-party ad pixels, or cross-site tracking. Product telemetry inside the portal is first-party and aggregated, and is covered by the notice provided at enrollment.
